Introduction

The Maharashtra Livestock Development Board(MLDB) is a state government initiative established to promote and develop the livestock sector in Maharashtra. Our mission is to improve the productivity and profitability of livestock farming, while also ensuring the welfare of animals and the sustainability of the environment

The Maharashtra Livestock Development Board (MLDB), headquartered in Nagpur, is a premier organization dedicated to promoting sustainable livestock development in the state of Maharashtra. Established with the vision of transforming Maharashtra into a leading hub for livestock production, the MLDB plays a pivotal role in driving growth, improving productivity, and enhancing the livelihoods of livestock farmers.

Establishment

  • Maharashtra Livestock Development Board was established vide directives from DAHD GoI letter no. 45-4(1)/98/LTD, dated 18.10.2000 for implementation of 100 % Centrally funded National Program for Cattle & Buffalo Breeding .
  • Establishment of Board vide Government Resolution no.  Dated 02.04.2002 .Registered under Society  Registration act 1860 on Dated 20.02.2003 .
  • Registered under Bombay Trust act .Declared as State Level  Implementing Agency  of National Program for Cattle & Buffalo Breeding in the state vide notification dated 21.06.2003.
