Farmer Awareness Program

The Maharashtra Livestock Development Board (MLDB) has initiated several farmer awareness programs to educate livestock farmers about best practices, new technologies, and government schemes.

Training Highlight:

Livestock Health and Nutrition

  • Awareness camps on vaccination, deworming, and nutrition management
  • Training on disease diagnosis and treatment

Breeding and Genetics

  • Workshops on artificial insemination, breeding techniques, and genetic improvement
  • Demonstrations of sex-sorted semen technology

Dairy Production

  • Training on dairy farming practices, milk production, and processing

Government Schemes and Policies

  • Awareness camps on government schemes, such as the Rashtriya Gokul Mission and the National Livestock Mission
  • Guidance on subsidy schemes, insurance, and credit facilities

Digital Literacy and Extension Services

  • Training on digital platforms, mobile apps, and online services for livestock farmers
  • Establishment of a call center and helpline for farmer queries and support

  • Village-level self-help groups and farmer organizations
